Once you have finished working in PostworkShop, you may want to save (back) your project and images into Adobe® Photoshop®'s PSD file type. To know how to load and open PSD files in PostworkShop, please read 6.2.1 Load PSD files. In this tutorial we will show you how to save your image in a PSD file. 

How to save the image in a PSD file
When you are finished with the postwork, select Save Image from the File menu. Do NOT select Save Project as this will save only the PostworkShop project file, with the *PRJ extension which is not recognized in Photoshop.
So select Save: PostworkShop renders your image and the dialog box appears. Change the File type to PSD:

Now you have to choose between the 4 different possibilities:

• Flattened
  All the layers of your PostworkShop file are flattened and the saved image appears as a unique "background" default image in Photoshop.
  

  

  One PSD layer per PWS object

• For each Object PostworkShop exports one layer back to Photoshop*.
  
  

  

• Active object only
  Only the styles applied to the current active Object will be saved and exported to Photoshop*.
  

  

• Layer by Layer
  Every style is exported as a different layer, independently from the object it has been used on. For example, if there are 2 styles that have been applied to 2 Object Layers, there will be 4 layers that will be exported to Photoshop*.
