Create a simple style as shown in section in 2.1.1 "Create a simple style using Layer browser" and select a second style from the styles tab. (E.g. Building Blocks/Simple Styles/Sketch will be added above the previously added “Random Painter”). Choose whether to add it above or beneath the first applied style. Drag and drop it onto the layer. An orange highlighted area appears in the Layer Browser to show if it is above or beneath the previously applied style. There are three different ways to apply the selected second style to the image:
- Drag and drop the styles into the highlighted area of the layer, either above or beneath.
- Shift + Double Click the style to insert it above the selected layer or Shift + Ctrl + Double Click the style to insert it below the selected layer.
- Press Shift + Enter to insert the style above the selected layer or Shift + Ctrl + Enter to insert the style below the selected layer.

Note: For styles dropped above or beneath the previous style, PostworkShop will automatically create a new layer in the Layer Browser since they are applied in parallel and will have to be blended.
Select the layer which has the properties you want to adjust (e.g. “Sketch”). It will appear white, while the other layers remain gray. Switch to the “Properties + Preview” pane and set the style's properties by dragging the sliders to the desired values. The image is rendered in real time in the small Preview. The Progress Bar shows the percentage completed. You can always cancel the rendering process by clicking Abort or using the Esc key.

Blend the layers by choosing a blending mode (e.g. "Overlay"), and then adjust the opacity of the layer if needed. The resulting image is again rendered in real time. The result is:

Add a third style to your Image by dropping it above or beneath one of the previous styles (e.g. "Emboss" above the two previous layers). It will appear in the Layer Browser. You can add as many styles/filters as you want, and for each one, a new layer will be created.

For styles with several layers, it may be interesting to experiment with different opacity values in the Layer Mixer. Click the icon to switch to the Layer Mixer view. The red dot represents the result, while the grey dots represent the different layers. Move the dots closer together or further apart to blend the layers more intuitively than with the individual opacity sliders. Clicking on the grey dots will show you the style names so you can recognize them. The resulting image is rendered in real time as you are mixing.

To switch back to the Layer Browser, just click again on the Layer Mixer icon.
See 1.4 "Save Image and Save Project" to save your final image and your project.
