PostworkShop 2.1 Release Now Available

New Features and Changes (with respect to the 2.0 release):



  • incorporates access to the entire Fotolia stock image bank,

  • full access to a Fotolia account within PostworkShop,

  • permits the purchase and download of Fotolia images within PostworkShop,

  • allows the application of Styles and the rendering of outputs directly from either comp or licensed Fotolia photographs and illustrations,

  • allows indexing of any or all images downloaded from Fotolia, within PostworkShop, and,

  • includes modifications/upgrades to the installation and activation routines (fixing problems experienced by some users with the 64-bit v.2.0 release).

new release crash fix?

OK, will the new release include the promised fix for Mac crashes?  I'm so frustrated with being unable to save in any format or any size - love what the program does but am feeling duped without being able to save the image!  If not, WHEN can I look forward to the fix?

Which crashes are you referring to? Please write us an email so we can see if we have found these problems - or if they have been reported - andtherefore if they are already fixed. 

There will be a new release but we have no fixed date yet and yes, the new release will contain bug fixes.

Toni,It appears from what I can gather from looking at this program that it seems to be running under a shell (probably Linux). A shell is a program that emulates another operating system. This operating system emulation is used to run the main program which would explain why the software runs so slow as to be virtually unusable. I suspect that unless this software is rewritten to run under the native MAC operating system that you will continue to experience these problems and the slow speed issue will remain. Maybe in version 3.0 if it ever comes out.

Our good old ex-customer Frederick apparently knows better than the developers of the application :)

PostworkShop is of course a native Mac code, the Mac version is compiled on and for the Mac.

Slow performace = underpowered hardware + too large images.
