When will be PostworkShop 3 released?
We are currently testing the beta version and really enjoying our work! We have also made the beta software available for independent testing. Depending upon the number of workflow improvements requested and performance issues detected, it is our expectation that PostworkShop 3 will be released in the period late-February to early-March.
Why are the entry-level editions being discontinued?
A large majority of our sales to date have been of the Pro Edition. Given this, it is no longer economic for us to maintain and support three additional editions. Xycod does appreciate the dilemma this poses, particularly for current users of the Artist Edition. That is why we are offering the most advantageous upgrade plan to them at this point.
I don’t have PostworkShop yet. Should I buy PostworkShop Pro now, just before the the release of the new version?
Yes - you would be purchasing a license for the current version (PostworkShop Pro Edition 2.1) at this time. Then you will become entitled to a free update to PostworkShop 3. A new serial number will be sent to you automatically, without the need for any request.
Isn’t it risky to pre-order the upgrade? I could not try the PWS 3 demo yet ...
In conjunction with the pre-order offer, Xycod's standard 30 day money back guarantee will run from the release date, and not be based upon the actual transaction date. Please visit our developer's blog at: http://blog.postworkshop.net to learn more about the new release.
When would I be able to see tutorial material for the new release?
We are currently developing tutorial content in parallel with conducting our test program. And having a lot of fun doing that also! (Please note that there will be some extended webinar sessions available from Xycod as a part of the upcoming Digital Art Summit, between mid-February and end-March - these will feature PostworkShop 3 exclusively.)

I have a couple of questions regarding the new forthcoming PostWorkshop3. 1.] PWS2 render time is very slow on my computer which is 2010 state of the art [Intel quadcore + Nvivia medium level graphics. Some of the styles are fast and some take over an hour to complete [Time to get six cups of coffee]. I'm talking about images from 3000 ppi square to 6000 ppi square. Will the improved speed be significant in PWS3 [like 2 3 or 4 times faster?] 2.] This is a suggestion for PWS3 or later: Have a tool for blending the original image back into the created art. Currently I use Xara Designer Pro and bring in the artwork produced in PWS and blend in the original. I also use blended focus areas to restore features such as eyes, etc. This is because many of the styles are too overpowering and need to be tamed. Is this dooable in PWS3? 3.] I think that the arrangement of styles could be a lot better. Has it been improved in PWS3?
